Each and every warehouse racking system is different and almost all are incompatible with each other, so it is really important to get the right manufacturer if you want to add to or replace parts in your industrial racking.

We have an Identify My Racking page on the website which shows clearly the design of many leading pallet racking manufacturers. The shape of the holes in the upright frames and horizontal beams are the easiest way to check the type of racking you have. If you can’t see anything that matches your warehouse racking on the first page, click on the link in the text to see a more extensive list of less common pallet racking systems. If you aren’t sure, please send us a clear photo (similar to the ones on the Identify My Racking page) and we will do our best to let you know the make of pallet racking that you have.

What hand loaded shelving do I need?

Hand loaded shelving comes in a wide range of sizes, duties and materials and we can help you to find the right one for your warehouse storage requirements.

Longspan shelving is a scaled down version of pallet racking and has specially profiled beams to accommodate a chipboard deck. We have upright frames in stock which can be 2000mm to 5000mm high and 400mm to 1200mm deep, the beams range from 950mm to 2700mm in length. This shelving system can be made into multi-bay runs with shelving levels that are adjustable every 50mm on the frames. The loading capacity of this heavy duty shelving can is from 430kg – 1075kg UDL per shelf, depending on the length of the beams. All items are in stock and can usually be ready for dispatch in 3-5 working days.

The wide range of sizes and configurations in this hand loaded shelving system means that it can be adapted to suit most warehouse storage areas. We are happy to help you plan a layout that will make the most of the space that you have available and suit the stock that you will be storing on it. Standard shelves are chipboard with support bars, but we also stock dropover steel shelves which may be more appropriate for storing food items or for easy cleaning.

Our steel shelving is a medium duty system and is available in a wide range of widths and depths. This shelving bay is 1830mm high with 6 shelves as standard, with 2130mm and 2430mm high options also available. It has a maximum shelf loading of 100kg UDL and bay loading of 600kg (dependent on specification). Bays can also be fully clad, with door and frame sets available for added security. Shelves can be raised or lowered by 25mm increments, making this system extremely versatile.

When his order came through to us, the configuration didn’t look right, so we gave him a call and soon established that both the sizes and quantities weren’t right for what he needed. We corrected the order, supplied some used Redirack and the customer was very happy with the racking that he received.
  2. We had a call from a customer after another business on his industrial estate in Leeds recommended us to him. He just needed a short run of industrial racking to store both palletised and hand loaded materials for his business. We had used Dexion racking in suitable sizes, with timber decking for the hand loaded elements. We supplied and installed the racking quickly, helping to create extra space in the customer’s warehouse in time for his upcoming peak trading period.
  3. We received an enquiry form through our website, from a company in Watford. They had attached a plan of the warehouse racking that they were looking for and asked for a price for both new and used pallet racking. We provided them with quotes for all materials (10 runs of 6 bays of racking, each with 4 beam levels) in used Link 51 racking and new AR racking, along with column guards and pallet support bars for all bays. They were very happy with the service they received from us and decided to buy used pallet racking, which arrived just 7 working days from confirmation of the order and has now been installed.
  4. After an online search for longspan shelving, a small business in Edinburgh found our number and gave us a call. They needed runs of heavy duty shelving to go round 3 sides of a new warehouse they  were moving to. Our longspan comes in so many size options that it was easy for us to find a solution that made maximum use of the storage space they had available. Some of the items they intended to store were heavy, but our longspan can take in excess of 500kg per shelf in almost all beam sizes and so this was easily solved. How do I sell pallet racking?

If you are looking to sell pallet racking that you no longer need or use then we are waiting to hear from you. We are always looking for medium to large quantities of good quality warehouse racking or longspan shelving and will pay great prices for it.

Before you contact us, please try to have as much information about the racking as you can. This should include the height depth and quantity of upright frames (and the duty if known), the length, load capacity and quantity of horizontal frames and the manufacturer of your racking (eg. Dexion, Link 51, Apex, Redirack, Mecalux etc) . We would also like a few clear photos of the racking that will show us its condition and so we can identify the make if you aren’t sure of it.

If your industrial racking is of interest to us, we will make you an offer quickly and can work around your time restraints when it comes to arranging dismantling and transportation. If you aren’t able to take down the racking yourself, we can deduct this cost from the price we would pay. Our SEIRS qualified installation teams can drop the racking quickly and make sure that it is stacked and banded correctly, ready for loading onto a vehicle.

Lastly, we can arrange for our haulage supplier to collect your racking and deliver it to our warehouse if required.
