A cantilever racking system is a versatile, robust and cost effective way to store long products or non-standard pallet sizes. It is a great way to maximise your warehouse storage capacity, making use of the available height and allowing you to store items of varying sizes in the same area.

We can supply you with a bespoke cantilever racking system that will suit your individual requirements. The uprights can be single or double sided and up to 10 metres high. The bracing which joins the uprights together can be tailored to the exact distance required for the length of the items that you will be storing. Horizontal load supporting arms are then added to the uprights, on which you will place your products. These can be up to 2500mm in length and will be designed to take the required load capacity. The height of the arms can be adjusted according to the height required for each storage level.

This type of warehouse storage equipment is particularly useful for the following products:

Customers often come to us asking for a warehouse storage guide for their business, because they don’t know what their options are or how to describe what they are looking for. We have many years of experience in pallet racking and warehouse shelving and so we will happily spend as much time as you need to help you to make sure you get the right storage system for your stock.

These tips will help you to give us the information we need in order to give you the best quote, at the best price, for your warehouse racking requirements:

  • Measure the area where the racking will go as accurately as you can (twice!) in millimetres. We will try to fit as much storage racking as we can into the dimensions you give us, so it’s really important that it is measured correctly.
  • If you are storing pallets, we need to know what type. UK pallets are 1200mm x 1000mm and Euro pallets are 1200mm x 800mm (there are also many other non-standard pallet sizes). The maximum height and weight of each pallet will also help us supply the right racking for you.
  • If you are adding to pallet racking that you already have, we need to know what type it is. There are many different manufacturers of industrial racking (Dexion, Link 51, Apex, PSS and Redirack are among the most common) and none of them are compatible with each other. If you aren’t sure what you have, our Identify My Racking page might help, or you can send us a photo and we will be able to identify it.
  • All of our upright frames are supplied assembled and with footplates attached, beam locks are supplied with all horizontal beams. Our used racking is checked to SEMA specifications prior to dispatch.
  • Let us know if you need other materials with your pallet racking. We have Timber and wire mesh decking, column guards, pallet support bars and rack end barriers in stock. If you aren’t sure whether you need them, we can talk you through all of the benefits and points to consider before ordering.

Used Dexion racking is something we are often asked for and it’s not always what the customer actually needs. In the same way that Hoover, Sellotape or Velcro are used to describe a wide variety of products from many different manufacturers, so Dexion is just one of twenty or more types of pallet racking currently available in the UK. 

Unfortunately, asking for the blue and orange racking doesn’t narrow it down a lot, as blue frames and orange beams are common to a number of warehouse racking systems and most can be supplied in a variety of colours on request.

If you need industrial racking to replace components or to add to your existing racking, then you need to be sure that you get compatible parts. Many pallet racking manufacturers stamp their name on the uprights (Dexion, Apex, Redirack, Link 51 etc), but if you can’t see it on your racking there are other ways to make sure you order the correct pallet racking system.

Take a look at the identify my racking page on our website to see many of the leading pallet racking manufacturers. The shape of the holes in the frames are usually a good way to confirm the manufacturer. If you still aren’t sure, please send us a clear, close up photo (like those on our identifying page) of your racking and we should be able to let you know what you have.

Warehouse racking protection is a vital part of any industrial storage system. Damage to your pallet racking can be both dangerous and costly, but with some simple measures in place you can prevent many of these accidents from happening.

Column guards are a relatively cheap way to prevent forklift damage to your pallet racking uprights. Ours are bolted to the floor in front of each leg, creating a “crumple zone” in front of the racking. We have large quantities in stock and and they are ready for dispatch in just 2-3 days.

Rack end barriers perform a similar job at the ends of your runs of industrial racking and are available in sizes to suit standard single and back to back runs. All our guards and barriers are supplied with fixing bolts to secure them to a concrete floor.

If any of your warehouse racking backs on to pedestrian areas then anti-collapse mesh should be in place to prevent items falling from the racking and causing injuries. We can supply mesh which can be fixed to pallet racking from all leading manufacturers (Dexion, Link 51, Redirack, Apex, PSS, Polypal, Mecalux etc), usually in 7-10 working days.

We currently have huge stocks of quality used Link 51 warehouse racking in a range of sizes and duties. The upright frames are 14 metres high and so can be cut to any required height and braced to standard depths of 900mm and 1100mm or other sizes upon request. These pallet racking frames are medium, heavy and super heavy duty and so are suitable for all warehouse storage environments.

We have thousands of beams in stock at 2250mm, 2300mm, 2680mm, 2700mm and 3100mm clear entry. All beams are supplied with beam locks as standard and frames are dispatched assembled and with footplates attached.
