For non-palletised items, we can supply longspan shelving, a heavy duty system that works in much the same way as pallet racking, with upright frames and horizontal beams. Longspan beams have a z profile (rather than the box section of racking beams), so that a chipboard deck will sit securely between them, and with support bars under the chipboard they can take well in excess of 500kg per shelf for almost all beam sizes. This robust and versatile system is available in a wide range of sizes, so we can help you find the best layout to make full use of the space you have for storage of your stock.

Cantilever racking provides an effective way to store long materials such as pipes, rods, structural sections, profiles, timber and flat sheets such as  chipboard. We offer off the shelf solutions for single or double-sided cantilever storage for long but lightweight items. Cantilever racking systems are a strong, versatile and cost effective way to store long products or non-standard sizes. They are a great way to maximise your warehouse storage capacity, making use of the available height and allowing you to store items of varying sizes in the same area.

We have recently added some new cantilever racking bays to our website shop, which you can see here. These simple starter and extension bays are available in as little as 5 working days, with many options available to suit your specific needs.

If you need a larger cantilever system, we can supply you with bespoke racking that suits your individual requirements. The uprights can be single or double sided and up to 10 metres high. The bracing which joins the uprights together can be tailored to the exact distance required for the length of the items that you will be storing. Horizontal load supporting arms are then added to the uprights, on which you will place your products. These can be up to 2500mm in length and will be designed to take the required load capacity. The height of the arms can be adjusted according to the height required for each storage level.

This type of warehouse storage equipment is particularly useful for the following products:

However, there are many different types of warehouse racking available, and almost all of them aren’t compatible with each other, so you need to be sure that you are ordering the right type of industrial racking to avoid delays to your business operation.

If your existing racking doesn’t have a name stamped on it, the shape of the holes in the upright frames is often a good way to check what you have. We will need to know the height and depth of the upright frames you require, plus the length and load capacity of the horizontal beams. The measurement usually used to describe the beams is the clear entry, which is the space between the upright frames when beams are in place.

Dexion shelving or Dexion racking- what do I need to order?

Dexion shelving is a name sometimes used for Dexion racking, or pallet racking to use the generic name. Buying it can be a complicated business if you aren’t familiar with the specific terms and the way it works, but we can help you to find the right warehouse storage solution for your business.

People will often ask for Dexion racking when actually they want warehouse racking from a completely different (and non-compatible) manufacturer. If you send us a photo of the racking you have, we can identify the racking system and then give you a quote for compatible materials. Apex, Link 51, Redirack and PSS are all popular industrial racking makers that we always have in stock and we can usually source less common systems such as Hilo, Sperrin and Stow.

The size of the frames and beams that you need will depend on the dimensions of the space you have available and size of the pallets that you are storing. UK pallets are 1200mm x 1000mm and Euro pallets are 1200mm x 800mm, but if you are storing non-standard pallets or non-palletised items we can adjust standard pallet racking sizes to accommodate your stock. We currently have huge stocks of quality used Link 51 warehouse racking in a range of sizes and duties. The upright frames are 14 metres high and so can be cut to any required height and braced to standard depths of 900mm and 1100mm or other sizes upon request. These pallet racking frames are medium, heavy and super heavy duty and so are suitable for all warehouse storage environments.

We have thousands of beams in stock at 2250mm, 2300mm, 2680mm, 2700mm and 3100mm clear entry. All beams are supplied with beam locks as standard and frames are dispatched assembled and with footplates attached.

To complete your industrial racking system, we have used pallet support bars, new wire mesh decking, column guards and barriers.
