Heavy duty shelving units are always a big seller for us, due to the strength and versatility of our range of longspan shelving. Whether you need a couple of bays for small parts storage, a few runs of hand loaded shelving for archive storage or a large picking area for your warehouse we can find the best solution which will maximise the space you have available.

Upright frames start at 2000mm high, but can be supplied as high as 5000mm, for which we can also supply warehouse safety steps. The depth of this shelving system ranges from 400mm to 1200mm and this means we can provide storage which best suits the size of the product or box, or which can be loaded from both sides. There are eight different beam sizes for our longspan shelving (950mm -2700mm), so we can work out the best possible configuration to fit the space you have allocated. Each shelving level can take  from 430kg – 1075kg (depending on the beam length) as a uniformly distributed load and the load capacity of each bay can be up to 7500kg.

Each shelving level is supplied with a chipboard deck, with the correct number of support bars to achieve the stated load capacity. If you would prefer a steel shelf we also have these in stock for 600mm, 800mm 900mm and 1200mm deep bays. This type of longspan shelving can also be supplied without a shelf for use as tyre racking.

The upright frames are supplied assembled, with footplates attached and including levelling plates and fixing bolts. All beams are supplied with two beam locks as standard.

These are a few examples of recent enquiries:

  1. A customer in Newport wanted some used pallet racking for his warehouse. A Google search led him to our website where he selected the sizes and quantities he needed and placed an order online. When his order came through to us, the configuration didn’t look right, so we gave him a call and soon established that both the sizes and quantities weren’t right for what he needed. We corrected the order, supplied some used Redirack and the customer was very happy with the racking that he received.
  2. We had a call from a customer after another business on his industrial estate in Leeds recommended us to him. He just needed a short run of industrial racking to store both palletised and hand loaded materials for his business. We had used Dexion racking in suitable sizes, with timber decking for the hand loaded elements. We supplied and installed the racking quickly, helping to create extra space in the customer’s warehouse in time for his upcoming peak trading period.
  3. We received an enquiry form through our website, from a company in Watford. They had attached a plan of the warehouse racking that they were looking for and asked for a price for both new and used pallet racking. We provided them with quotes for all materials (10 runs of 6 bays of racking, each with 4 beam levels) in used Link 51 racking and new AR racking, along with column guards and pallet support bars for all bays. They were very happy with the service they received from us and decided to buy used pallet racking, which arrived just 7 working days from confirmation of the order and has now been installed.
  4. After an online search for longspan shelving, a small business in Edinburgh found our number and gave us a call. They needed runs of heavy duty shelving to go round 3 sides of a new warehouse they  were moving to. Our longspan comes in so many size options that it was easy for us to find a solution that made maximum use of the storage space they had available. Some of the items they intended to store were heavy, but our longspan can take in excess of 500kg per shelf in almost all beam sizes and so this was easily solved. We were also able to supply warehouse safety steps for them so that they could make full use of the 3500mm height available.
