But once you have a layout planned, you can broaden your search to other components that will ensure that your industrial racking is safe, secure and fit for purpose.

All of our pallet racking beams are supplied with 2 beam locks as standard, because they are important in helping to prevent the beams from being accidentally dislodged by your forklift. If you have beams without locking pins, we can supply as many as you need for all leading manufacturers.

Forklift trucks can also cause expensive and potentially dangerous damage to your racking uprights, so it is important to protect them. Column guards and rack end barriers are a relatively inexpensive way to avoid damage and are easy to install. All of our barriers and guards are supplied with fixing bolts.

Used Link 51 pallet racking is always a popular warehouse racking system and we have large quantities of great quality used materials in stock at the moment.

Upright frames are up to 10,000mm high and can be braced to either 900mm or 1100mm (or other sizes on request) as required. All our used frames are supplied assembled and with footplates attached.

Customers often come to us asking for a warehouse storage guide for their business, because they don’t know what their options are or how to describe what they are looking for. We have many years of experience in pallet racking and warehouse shelving and so we will happily spend as much time as you need to help you to make sure you get the right storage system for your stock.

These tips will help you to give us the information we need in order to give you the best quote, at the best price, for your warehouse racking requirements:

  • Measure the area where the racking will go as accurately as you can (twice!) in millimetres. We will try to fit as much storage racking as we can into the dimensions you give us, so it’s really important that it is measured correctly.
  • If you are storing pallets, we need to know what type. UK pallets are 1200mm x 1000mm and Euro pallets are 1200mm x 800mm (there are also many other non-standard pallet sizes). The maximum height and weight of each pallet will also help us supply the right racking for you.
  • If you are adding to pallet racking that you already have, we need to know what type it is. There are many different manufacturers of industrial racking (Dexion, Link 51, Apex, PSS and Redirack are among the most common) and none of them are compatible with each other. If you aren’t sure what you have, our Identify My Racking page might help, or you can send us a photo and we will be able to identify it.
  • All of our upright frames are supplied assembled and with footplates attached, beam locks are supplied with all horizontal beams. Our used racking is checked to SEMA specifications prior to dispatch.
  • Let us know if you need other materials with your pallet racking. We have Timber and wire mesh decking, column guards, pallet support bars and rack end barriers in stock. Attempting to sell industrial racking that you have may seem like an onerous and complicated job, but we can help you and give you a great price too. To help us give you the best price for your racking, we would need to know the manufacturer, the quantities and sizes of upright frames (the height, depth and duty) and horizontal beams (clear entry length and load capacity) and whereabouts in the UK the racking is located. If there is anything stamped on the racking, that would also be useful to know. We need to see the condition of your pallet racking and so we will ask you to send us some clear, close up photos. This will also help us to confirm the manufacturer if you aren’t sure.

If you need us to dismantle and stack the racking for transportation, we can arrange this. We usually have used timber decking in stock, both open boarded (with gaps between the wooden slats) and closed boarded (with the slats pushed together and no gaps). This is the most popular way to turn your industrial racking into heavy duty shelving, or just to support your pallets and give your forklift driver a bigger area to aim at! Standard depth are 900mm and 1100mm and we can adjust these boards to fit all beam lengths. 

We also have new timber decking for pallet racking in stock, as well as new wire mesh decking. We stock standard depths but we can quote for bespoke decking on request.
